Digital Forensics with FRED and EnCase is a 5-day version of our EnCase 8 course. This extended course offers the student a combination of the Digital Forensic Intermediate and EnCase forensics with version 8 and adds hands-on training with our popular FRED hardware platform.
This 5 day course will not only provide the attendee with an all around knowledge of EnCase, but also a foundation in the digital forensic topics covered. Students who attend the EnCase 8 class are also invited to attend the DFF class, typically offered on the Monday of the EnCase 8 training week, free of charge. Simply indicate on your registration form that you'd like to attend both. Attendance of both the 1 day DFF and EnCase 8 counts as 40 hours towards the training requirement for the EnCE examination.
This course is designed for a beginning Digital Forensic or eDiscovery practitioner with a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating system functionality.
To gain the maximum benefit from this course you should meet or exceed the following requirements:
• Read and understand the English language
• Attendance of a basic digital forensic training is preferred, but not required
• Be familiar with the Microsoft Windows environment and data recovery concepts
