μFRED

The Digital Intelligence μFRED system has the forensic acquisition and case processing power of larger, more expensive systems in a form factor a fraction of the size.  The μFRED includes a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU featuring 8 Performance and 16 Efficiency cores, up to 5.7 GHz clock speed, and 36 MB Intel® Smart Cache.  μFRED supports up to eight (8) storage devices.  The standard configuration includes two internal 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSDs (one reserved for the operating system), along with a 1 TB SATA SSD for database, cache, or temporary storage, and a 4 TB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive in one of two USB-connected HotSwap bays.  Many storage drive options are available to tailor μFRED to the job at hand.

Twelve different USB connections provide expansion flexibility.  Network data transfers are fast and efficient with an integrated 2.5 gigabit Ethernet connection.  Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth provide additional connectivity.

μFREDs transport easily using the handle on the case top.  The handle folds flush and out of the way once moved.  All μFRED's include the Digital Intelligence UltraBay 4 write blocker for imaging SATA, SAS, IDE, USB, FireWire, and PCIe storage devices.

The compact size (17" x 9" x 12") of a μFRED is ideal when you need a portable, high-performance system that fits into a smaller foot print.
